In order for Twitter to have future success in the Metaverse, they need to find new ways to integrate itself into the medium. One of the best ways to do that is to give programmers different methods of connecting to the Twitterverse, either by specialized plugins or scripting.
Our team decided to put together the Best Scripts we would like to have available in the Metaverse. So, without further ado, here is our Top 10 Twitter Scripts we need for the Metaverse.
As a bonus, a special 11th item was recently added, which would change the Twitterverse forever.
Top 10 Twitter Scripts For The Metaverse
Top 10 Twitter-Metaverse Scripts Explained1. Twitter-Bot AvatarThere are numerous scripts that allow Meta-Bots to connect to an A.I. or to other 3rd party platforms. Let's make a Twitter script where a stationary avatar can recite tweets from a user's Twitter account. For example, we could connect to Tom Hank's Twitter. Who wouldn't want to see what he's tweeting?
2. IVL Twitter Phone (Metaverse Phone)Basically, instead of tweeting from a user's mobile phone, users would be allowed to tweet from their Metaverse phone. In the beginning (Step One), programmers could make a script that only retrieves tweets and displays it on the Metaverse phone. Later on, (Step Two), programmers would add login authentication and users would actually be able to tweet from the IVL phone.
3. Metaverse Tweet (from Avatar command line)This is similar to the Metaverse Phone, but instead of sending tweets from the phone, users would do it from Avatar command line. It would have to be a new feature added directly to the "Metaverse Viewer" itself, where people would adjust the Twitter settings in the control panel.
If a user wanted to tweet something, they would type a simple command, such as "Tweet: What a wonderful day in the Metaverse", and it would be automatically sent to the Twitter account. There would have to be login authentication done here as well.
4. Group Conversation TweetsThis is where multiple users can have their group conversations tweeted in unison while in the Metaverse. If structured in the correct way, the tweets could be linked together in a string (simliar to Reddit or other social networks). There could be a "Start Recording" and "Stop Recording" button my Metaverse users to determine when the Tweets are sent.
From a reader's perspective, Twitter would give an option to view Tweets one by one, or in a string method. It would take some clever programming, but it would be ground-breaking.
5. Twitter Feud ButtonThe life blood of social networking is the classic "Twitter Feud", where two users square off and attack each other in a string of Tweets. It would be similar to "Group Conversation Tweets" in the way it would be viewed by the reader (either one on one, or as a string text).
However, this would have a special label, possibly something like "Metaverse Twitter Feud", and it would get priority on a user's Twitter feed. It would be guaranteed to get millions, possibly billions of views. Everyone love a good Twitter Feud!
6. IVL Twitter BillboardThis one is self-explanitory. Companies and politicians are always using billboards to market things IRL, so the next logical step is to create an IVL Twitter Billboard to do it in the virtual life.
The advertising costs in the Metaverse is only a fraction of what it costs in the real world. The great thing about an IVL Twitter Billboard is that the message is always changing. Just change the product and message in Twitter, and the billboard will change with it. It's Metaverse Marketing 101, it's just common sense!
7. Tweet ScrollerThis is more a feature of convenience for the Metaverse User. There are many times that a person can get so engrossed in their virtual life that they lose site of reality.
The Tweet Scroller would connect to a user's twitter account and automatcially scroll the tweets he/she follows. The scroller would have settings determining if it is show vertically on the top or bottom, or even horizontally on the side.
8. Product Tweet Popups (Activated by Clicking Object)This is more of a personal feature for users selling NFTs or Objects in the Metaverse. Bascially, you can assign a Twitter account to an object, so when a Virtual Customer clicks a product, the most recent tweet would show above the object/product in a popup window.
An extra feature would be assigning a hashtag to each product, so instead of showing the most recent tweets, the product would show the most recent hashtag tweets. With one Twitter account, a user could assign hashtags to hundreds, possibly thousands of items.
9. IVL Twitter PCThis is similar to the IVL Twitter Phone, in that a user's Twitter login would be authenticated, and then it would give the ability to tweet directly from the Virtual PC.
10. Corner Tweet WindowThis is similar to the Tweet Scroller, in that a user can view tweets within the 3D Viewer. However, instead of scrolling vertically or horizontally across the screen, the tweets could be viewed through a popup window that could be maximized/minimized and moved around the screen at the user's convenience.
Bonus Feature11. Twitter 3D ViewerIf Twitter wanted to really get integrated with the Metaverse, they would add all the features up above into one "Twitter 3D Viewer". Imagine every feature listed up above in one stand-alone viewer. It would also have to be open-source, so programmers could enhance and modify the code.
By following the suggestions we listed above, the Twitterverse and Metaverse would truly become one. It would changed the virtual landscape as we know it.
We can only hope that Twitter is listening, taking notes, and will eventually heed our advice!
