As any techie will tell you, the evolution of social networking depends on the Metaverse. In the future, people won't be tweeting from their mobile phones, they'll be tweeting from wearable devices, and life as we know it will change.
Take a close look at any influencer's blogging patterns, and you'll see how "tweets" dominate their article topics, especially if it's scandelous. One example is the classic "Twitter Fued", where two internet celebrities trash each other. Almost immediately, both their trending numbers would go straight up.
It's gotten to the point where the public expects this kind of behavior from their KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders). As a result, Influencers are forced to increase their Tweeting exposure by any means necessary, and the best way to do this is by embedding their Twitter feeds through multiple media channels.
Embedding Tweets In Posts (2D)
Whether it's writing articles, blogging, or typical influencing, embedding tweets inside a post has become the new norm for Social Media.
For example, there are scores of Sports Articles reporting on athletes tweets concerning contract disputes, bad officiating, or even other teams. Whenever a journalist has a deadline to meet, they take the easiest approach and rummage through an athelete's old tweets. They can always manufacture a controversy from the most inane comment or "like".
Influencers and bloggers use the same approach. It's easy to generate a controversy through another person's tweets. In addition, there are many bloggers who will embed tweets on their websites, taking quotes from other tweeters in order to generate content, and more traffic as well.
Tweeting In The Metaverse (3D)
By following those trends, showing tweets in embedded posts, it's just natural to assume avatars will embed tweets in the Metaverse too.
More than likely, the embedded tweets will take the form of popups on the upper corner of an IVL user's 3D Goggles, or possibly on a virtual computer screen. Maybe it could take the form of a Virtual Billboard on the highway while the user takes a spin in their virtual car.
The tweets may even appear on luxury products being sold in virtual stores, creating a never-ending interactive experience with retailers. It would be taking product placement to a whole new level.
Twitter's Future Lies In The Metaverse
While the fate of Twitter seems to be in limbo, especially in light of the Elon Musk factor, it's quite apparent that the company lies on solid ground. Tweeting is so entrenched in the blogging and influencing medium, that at this point, Twitter is here to stay. They are practically a pillar in the Social Media sphere of influence, and it would take a catostrophic event for them to fail.
Therefore, the next logical step is for 3D Builders to create better and more refined Metaverse plugins for users to embed Twitter posts on 3D Objects and NFTs, expanding the Twitterverse in areas unlike any the world has ever seen.
